Children's classes

Children can join as early as 5 years old. Settling into a proper Martial Art group can be a bit daunting at first for young children and this is why parents are encouraged to attend classes at the beginning. Many parents choose to join in the classes making the Kenagi experience a family adventure. Obviously there is support structure in place to nurture and reassure young beginners creating a feeling of belonging and comfort within the group.

True benefits can be found in this sport whatever your age. By improving your fitness and focus a student will experience courage and fortitude and develop a more positive outlook on life. This positivity can be an added benefit at school, enhancing attention spans, attitude and discipline to homework. It is quite common for young Karate students to be successful in their academic studies.

Please note that from Orange Belt and above, Weapon training and Sparring become part of the mandatory syllabus. This training is only provided on Saturdays during specific classes. Safety rubber weapons are mandatory for children. For Sparring classes protective gear to include mouth guard is mandatory.
