Testimonials
"I was invited to teach at a course for Kenagi in 2008 and I found the students very polite and respectful. The Instructor, Brian Redman, was very enthusiastic and proactive; some of the more important ingredients for any successful Dojo.
Students listened to the new information and instruction given and responded very well. Very few Dojo I have visited have all the student membership that ‘really’ want to be there, there are at least one or two that don't – However, at Kenagi, this was not the case. I felt that everyone in the Kenagi Dojo all worked hard together, and enjoyed being there training, giving it all they have got (plus more). Well done to you all!"

"I taught at Sensei Brian Redman’s dojo in 2006 and found that his students were well disciplined, respectful and had a willingness to learn. It was enjoyable teaching them,"

“It was a great opportunity to try out some of the Martial Art disciplines. It showed you how much self-discipline is required, but at the same time it was fun and energetic.”

“I think it is highly valuable for young people to have the opportunity to try out different activities. It was amazing how much the pupil’s confidence improved in such a short space of time, pupils you wouldn’t normally notice really shone through.”

“The Kenagi Karate Dojo has been part my childs' life for over 5 years now. I have watched in awe as he and many others have progressed through the grades. I am convinced that Karate has a far reaching and positive influence on all the students lives. I would strongly urge other parents to consider taking the plunge and involving their children in this life changing experience.”

"I recently went on a holiday abroad with a female friend of mine. Although the majority of time we had there was absolutely fantastic, there was one evening where we walked down to our hotels private beach, which we had been told was a very safe area, as lots of the holiday makers go there. However, that night it was very quiet and two local men came up to us and were very persistent that we go off with them. As soon as they realised we weren’t going to go with them voluntarily, they called out. Three more men came out of nowhere and where trying to pin myself and my friend to the wall and ground. From what I remember there were two men on each of us and one extra just standing by. I managed to fight my way out from under these two men and as they came after me again I defended myself automatically without thinking about it using only techniques I had learnt in Sensei Brian Redman’s classes from the age of 10. I freed my friend from the two men on her and was able to fend off the others, and give us enough time to make a run for it.
I believe we would have been in a much worse situation, had I not attended Kenagi classes in the past, because I simply would not have been able to get us both out of that situation otherwise and I want to thank Sensei for everything he has taught me!"
